About

Your Ceremony, Your Story, Your Way.

Fully Legal

Registered HSE solemniser and NI direct-registered solemniser meaning I can legally marry couples across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Simplicity

An easy, stress-free consultation and booking process. The ceremony is written for you, so couples requests are gladly incorporated.

Calm Guidance

I lead you through the legal “Green Book” process and the ceremony itself. We’ll work to achieve a seamless flow from the first guest’s arrival to the final signature.

Ceremony Services

Celebrating life’s milestones on the west coast and nationwide.

Wedding Solemnisation

A full legal ceremony tailored to your story at your chosen venue. We can cover different rituals and styles at your choosing, religious or non-religious.

Elopements

Legal and non-legal. Dreaming of a wild Irish elopement? While you can’t marry legally in a private home, we can certainly ‘tie the knot’ at any publicly accessible landmark – from the rugged Cliffs of Moher to the historic ruins of a local castle. I can help you confirm if your dream spot meets the HSE legal requirements.

Vow Renewals

Celebrate your journey and recommit to your future.

Naming Ceremonies

A beautiful, non-legal way to welcome a new arrival to the family.

Final Farewells

Every life has a story worth telling. Bespoke funeral and memorial services that are respectful, reflective, and centered entirely on the person being honoured.

How far do you travel for a service?

Everywhere! I am based in County Clare, but I am happy to travel to any corner of the country. I am a registered solemniser in both the Republic of Ireland (HSE) and Northern Ireland (NI Direct), which allows me to legally solemnise marriages across the entire island.

What is the first step to booking?

You can check if I’m available for your chosen date [by clicking here]. If the date is free, we’ll set up a brief introductory call to ensure we’re the right fit for your vision.

What are your payment terms and methods?

Once you decide to move forward, a booking fee secures your date in my calendar. The remaining balance is settled as your ceremony date approaches. I accept payments via bank transfer or Revolut, and I provide a clear outline of all financial details at the start.

What do we need to know about the legalities?

The legal requirements depend on your location, but the most important thing to remember is the notification period:

  • In the Republic: You must notify the HSE at least three months in advance. You can view the full list of requirements [here].
  • In Northern Ireland: The minimum notice period is 28 days.

Tip: Don’t forget your Marriage Registration Form (ROI) or Marriage Schedule (NI) on the day! Without this physical document, we cannot complete the legal signing.

What is the typical duration of a ceremony?

Most ceremonies I lead last between 25 and 40 minutes. This timeframe allows for a beautiful flow that includes music and readings without feeling rushed or overly long.

Can we incorporate faith or spiritual traditions?

Absolutely. I am a FuturFaith minister, which means the “heart” of the ceremony is dictated by you. Whether you prefer a secular approach, a spiritual feel, or the inclusion of specific traditional elements, we will blend them seamlessly to reflect your values.

How many symbolic elements should we include?

To keep the ceremony’s focus sharp and meaningful, I usually suggest one or two enhancements (such as handfasting, sand ceremonies, or candle lighting). I can walk you through various options to see what resonates with your story.

What time do you arrive on the day?

I’ll be on-site at least one hour prior to the start time. This allows me to coordinate with your venue, photographer, and musicians. For legal weddings, this “buffer time” is also used to double-check your paperwork so everything is perfect before we begin.

Still have a "burning question"?

I’m here to help! If you’re planning a ceremony that doesn’t fit into a standard category, or if you just need a bit more clarity, please [get in touch here] or send an email to info@tomflynnceremonies.ie.

Testimonials

Tommy was the Celebrant at our wedding ceremony in July 2024 and I could not compliment him enough.

He made our ceremony so personal and special with his humour, wit, and kindness.

It was clear the huge amount of preparation that he put in and he made such an effort to get to know us personally so that he could perform our ceremony the way we wanted.

Tommy was so professional and approachable and went above and beyond to make our ceremony unique and enjoyable for everyone and I could not have imagined anyone else doing it.

I would highly recommend Tommy to officiate your ceremony and thanks again for all you did for us.

Rachel & Richie

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect soul to lead our ceremony than Tommy.

Planning an elopement at the Cliffs of Moher from afar felt like a leap of faith, but from our very first call, Tommy’s warmth and wit made us feel like we were being married by an old friend.

On the day, despite the wild Atlantic wind, he brought a sense of calm and groundedness that allowed us to truly be present.

He tailored our ceremony to be exactly who we are: intimate, sincere, and a little bit adventurous.

If you’re looking for someone who respects the magic of the Irish landscape as much as the importance of your vows, Rev. Tom is your man.

Alex & Tia

Tommy turned our Abbey elopement into an unforgettable experience.

Amidst the ancient stone walls, he led a beautiful handfasting ceremony that felt both deeply traditional and uniquely ours.

The way he explained the significance of ‘tying the knot’ as our hands were bound added such a powerful, tangible layer to our vows.

Tommy’s presence is calm, sincere, and genuinely joyful—he didn’t just perform a ceremony; he created a moment we’ll carry with us forever.
